So ladies and gents I decided today to try out a deep conditioning situation with banana, olive oil, honey and a few other things. Since I was too lazy to pull out my camera to film it, I decided to make it a blog post. Hope you all enjoy the pictures and such : )
So I started my mixture with the banana baby food...
Above: I added some Giovanni Smooth as Silk Conditioner
Above: I added like 2 and a half heaping tablespoons of honey (I loves that stuff). Once I added the honey I added like 10 drops of rosemary oil, a few drops of JBCO, Olive Oil, Jasmine oil and mixed!
This was my hair prior to adding the conditioner mix...
This and the next two pictures are what my hair looked like once I added the mixture to my curly coif! Kinda funky right?
"Ain't no mo green beans!" Getting my lunch lady on with my plastic cap which I should have left on for about 45-60 minutes. Not that it was doing much, but yeah I got some thangs done around the hizzle! LOL! As you can tell by the time stamps it was more like 5 hours.
These are the products that I used on my hair to cleanse and condition. I did one wash with my Suave Naturals shampoo, one wash with my Shea Moisture Moisture Retention Shampoo (which I heart) and conditioned finally with my Shea Moisture Restorative Conditioner. Once the hair was cleansed I used my Oyin Handmade Hair Dew as my leave in, sealed with coconut oil, and styled with my Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie.
The above 4 pictures are my results with no product on it! What do you all think?
As you can tell by my face it was just ok for me. Maybe it was because I attempted to deep condition prior to cleansing the hair. I don't know. It didn't make much sense to put bananas in my hair after shampooing, but hey who said I was an expert?! Any who do you have any suggestions for me?
Thanks for reading and commenting!
